A Fun Day At Sea

We're heading to Fiji where we'll spend two days, but we were at sea today (Super Bowl Monday).  We got up and almost immediately had a safety drill...stylish life jackets on, please.  Imagine a parade of geriatrics forced by stern-looking crew members to single file it down the hallways wearing matching bright orange vests instead of lounging by the pool...we looked like Bataan death march.

But once that was over, it was time for some real fun: Bingo!  OMG...we are so drinking the kool-aid.

Of course the big deal of the day was watching the super bowl.  The ship had an ESPN satellite signal and broadcast the game in real time.  They had hot dogs, wings, and burgers, along with buckets of beer, and popcorn.  It was really a lot of fun - and a pretty good game.  As Broncos fans, Joe and I hate both the Seahawks and the Patriots, but we rooted for the Seahawks.  What a stupid call.  sigh.

A happy ending to the day: we won first place at trivia!  Yes...it's the cruising life for me!

Tomorrow we arrive in Fiji, and Joe and I have an excursion to an uninhabited island (Savala) for a day of beach, snorkeling, and picnicing.  Don't worry...we'll take the camera!
